TEACHER AND CORPORATE TRAINING AVAILABLE
I am just like you, I am concerned about my children's future, and the future of the world. To prepare my children with the skills and knowledge they will need to deal successfully with this future, I have created brainsarefun.
I can think of no better way to start students and parents off than by telling them plainly of the journey that lies ahead. The journey requires two ingredients I deem required of any worthwhile adventure: sweat and effort. These are the antidotes to what William James calls the "flatness" that is coming over the world. At brainsarefun we are creating an ideal that claims "citizens capable of courage -- despite cynicism, fatigue and the common trend." Having this ideal, and knowing it is right, we proceed. It is what makes brainsarefun so much fun and successful at a time when so many children are threatened by depression, boredom and academic failure.
BAFU (Brainsarefun University) is a school of advanced learning, focusing on the watershed years between 11 and 24 years old. This critical stage in a person's life is so important because success now means being able to continue one's education, providing a crack at a life with a future.
Students who perform two years above grade level earn As. This
is the top 10% of any class.
Students who perform one year above grade level earn Bs. This
makes up 10% of any class.
Students who perform at grade level earn C's. This comprises 60%
of any class.
All the rest earn Ds and Fs. This is the bottom 20%.
In most classes the top 20% get an enormous amount of personal
attention because the teacher likes these students.
In most classes the bottom 20% get an enormous amount of attention
because they are disruptive.
The teacher has very little time left for the 60% majority.
BAFU will not waste your time. Students can expect to accelerate their fundamental academic skills one full academic year after thirty hours of instruction. It will be one of the most valuable summers of your child's academic life.
Is Brainsarefun U appropriate for all students? If your
child can read at a fifth-grade level, or above, he or she probably
qualifies and will likely make a full year's gain (or more) during
the 36 hour program. Every child will be individually evaluated
before acceptance.
