How do you know if your effort is paying off? Answer each question with a Y or N.

[ ] Are there no more allowances or unearned gifts?

[ ] Is the child starting on time?
[ ] Is the child staying on task?
[ ] Are more assignments being completed?
[ ] Are more assignments being turned in?
[ ] Are points being earned?
[ ] Are you paying-off daily?
[ ] Do you have more hope?
[ ] Are you feeling more in control?
[ ] Is your child speaking more?
[ ] Is your child listening to books on tape?
[ ] Has the child made one of his own tapes?
[ ] Are teachers noticing any changes?
[ ] Have you brought home some books and tapes from
the library?
[ ] Is you husband or wife noticing any change?
[ ] Are you talking more with the child?
[ ] Is the portfolio growing thicker?
[ ] Are you noticing improvement in any other areas?
[ ] Has attitude improved?
[ ] Are you reading to the child at night?
[ ] Are you chorusing?
[ ] Is the child copying?
[ ] Is the child reading more?

As you put a Y next to more and more of these questions, you can be assured the program is working. Ask your children's teachers. What are they observing. Ask your child.
Don't sell your children short. Remember, these are children
who are experiencing too few successes. Be sure you evaluate them
against something realistic, not against wishful thinking.
