DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT: As the Director of Development for Xavier High School, Middletown, Connecticut, revitalized, planned, managed, numerous campaigns and events; conducted hundreds of personal requests, resulting in a 579% increase in annual giving while staying under a $250,000 annual expense budget; trained and supervised 500 volunteers; established and managed all aspects of the office, including a secretary and an assistant in charge of alumni affairs and publications; coordinated with the headmaster and other department heads, resulting in improved communication, productivity and accurate reporting; instituted a thorough data overhaul, resulting in a highly useable data base (Blackbaud Raiser's Edge); insured the quality of, and personally signed, thousands of "thank you" letters; coordinated receptions, appreciations and special events.
SCHOOL DIRECTOR: Senior manager charged with successfully opening a new charter elementary and middle school. Responsible for all aspects of daily operations and budget, supervised a staff of 35 teachers and aides, 350 students, and helped implement teacher-training programs that resulted in a two-year reading gain for 85% of the students both years, and a 90% satisfaction rating of the school's performance among parents, students and staff.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING: Senior manager. Implemented all aspects of national planning, marketing, public relations and recruitment for Outward Bound Leadership and Professional Development Wilderness Courses, resulting in meeting budgeted income each year while staying under a $750,000 annual expense budget; supervised the production of major catalogs and collateral material; worked collaboratively with Development to raise over $1 million annually; trained and supervised a staff of ten customer service and sales representatives.
