DENVER, CO -- “Raising money for veterans who want to continue their educations and hold jobs with a future,”
is how Rory Donaldson, an advocate, fundraiser and educator, wants to give back our veterans.

“I see my job as having two important aspects: one, raising money to help veterans in transition; two, providing the broader citizenry an opportunity to give back to those who have given so much.”

Rory’s new effort is focusing on, but is not limited to, veterans who might want to become teachers, law-enforcement agents, firefighters, nurses or paramedics. These are the types of jobs that fit the profiles of many of our returning men and women.

He believes there is an enormous wealth of untapped good-will in America, ready to be turned into financial support if only asked. This support could then be used to recruit, provide additional financial aid, and forge new links between returning veterans and schools.

As a full-time employee, he wants to join a veteran’s support organization, foundation, service provider, or other non-profit, to help mobilize this effort.

For thirty years Rory has been a fundraiser, teacher, school director and businessman. He increased annual giving for a private school in Connecticut by 500%. As the Director of Marketing for the Colorado Outward Bound School he recruited thousands of students into character-building programs. He directed a public charter school in Littleton, Colorado committed to teaching all children to read. He has taught 5,000 K through college classes dedicated to academic success and achievement. He knows how to work with others to get the job done.

Now, Rory is mobilizing his talents to raise money to identify, recruit and support one of our nation’s most valuable resources -- our returning men and women. He wants to raise money and recruit for schools, foundations and other non-profits, focused on insuring that these heroes are provided every opportunity to continue their educations and hold jobs with a future.
